Variations of geomagnetic H, D, and Z field intensities on quiet days at west african latitudes

Summary:

In the framework of the French participation to the International Equatorial Electrojet Year (IEEY), a network of ten electro-magnetic stations was installed at African latitudes. These stations measured digitally the three components of the magnetic field and the two components of the telluric electric field, and operated over a period of 20 months. The magnetic data are used to study the variations of geomagnetic H, D, and Z field intensities on quiet days. Night-time variations in all the three geomagnetic elements were observed, which suggests there is a night-time current in the West African dip equatorial latitudes. The pattern of variations observed in H element, which peaks around noon, is seen to be due to the equatorial electrojet current. A reverse current called the counter electrojet current was noticed on some days.

Așadar, cele mai noi tipuri de fraudă &icirc;nt&acirc;lnite sunt: phi&shy;shing-ul, skimming-ul, interpretarea email-urilor, malware, inginerie socială.</p><p>Cu o atenție deosebită autorul accentuează tipul de fraudă ingineria socială.<strong> </strong>Unele dintre cele mai eficiente atacuri cibernetice vizează oameni. Ingineria socială<strong> </strong>este o formă de manipulare &icirc;n care atacatorii imit o sursă de &icirc;ncredere pentru a convinge oamenii să &icirc;ndeplinească anumite sarcini dorite de infractor. Funcționează astfel: &icirc;n primul r&acirc;nd, un atacator va suna sau va trimite un e-mail la un birou de asistență și se dă drept țintă. Va spune că și-a uitat parola și, de obicei, va contura o poveste credibilă &icirc;n acest sens. Analiz&acirc;nd datele statis&shy;tice, putem constata că nu este de mirare că prevalența acestor atacuri este foarte mare și crește tot timpul. &Icirc;n 2017, 76% dintre profesioniștii din domeniul securității informației au fost vizați de atacuri de inginerie socială prin telefon sau e-mail. &Icirc;n 2018, această cifră a sărit la 83%. Unul dintre cei mai cunoscuți ingineri sociali din istorie este Kevin Mitnik. Kevin Mitnik susține că este mai ușor să obții o parolă prin fraudă dec&acirc;t să &icirc;ncerci să spargi un sistem de securitate [3].</p><p>Conform rezultatelor oferite de către Banca Centrală Europeană privind tranzacțiile frauduloase &icirc;n anul 2019, avem următoarele re&shy;zultate: 73% din valoarea tranzacțiilor frauduloase au fost efectuate fără card (<em>card-not-present</em>), precum plățile pe internet sau telefon, 19% dintre tranzacții la terminalele POS, iar 8% dintre acestea la ATM-uri. De altfel, se constată o creștere a fraudelor efectuate &icirc;n absența cardului fizic, față de cele cu card [4].</p><p>Pentru a putea preveni și &icirc;nlătura posibilitățile atacurilor frau&shy;du&shy;loa&shy;se &icirc;n domeniul bancar, poate fi propusă utilizarea metodelor de se&shy;cu&shy;ri&shy;ta&shy;te. Termenul de &bdquo;inteligenţă artificială&rdquo;, cum a afirmat Raymond Kur&shy;&shy;zweil, un pionier &icirc;n domeniul inteligenței artificiale, este &bdquo;arta de a crea mașini care să &icirc;ndeplinească funcții care ar necesita inteligență da&shy;că ar fi &icirc;ndeplinite de oameni&rdquo; [2]. Inteligența artificială (IA) se re&shy;fe&shy;ră la sisteme sau la maşini care imit inteligenţa umană, pentru a efec&shy;tua diverse activităţi şi care se pot &icirc;mbunătăţi pe baza infor&shy;ma&shy;ţii&shy;lor pe care le colectează. C&acirc;teva exemple: Boţii de chat utilizează IA pentru a &icirc;nţelege mai repede problemele clienţilor şi pentru a oferi răs&shy;pun&shy;suri mai eficiente. Asistenţii inteligenţi utilizează IA pentru a ana&shy;li&shy;za informaţiile esenţiale din seturile de date mari de text, pentru a &icirc;mbunătăţi programarea.</p><p>&Icirc;n Republica Moldova, acest tip de securitate este folosit de către B.C. Victoriabank prin sistemul <em>open way grup</em>. Acest sistem &icirc;nre&shy;gist&shy;rează ansamblul tranzacțiilor efectuate de către client de pe contul său, &icirc;n momentul &icirc;n care are loc efectuarea unei plăți &icirc;n valoare mai mare comparativ cu cele precedente atunci sistemul acționează, iar prin acumularea mai multor informații despre tranzacția suspectă se acceptă sau respinge efectuarea plății.</p><p><strong>&Icirc;n concluzie</strong>, menţionăm că este necesar de a cere de la tehnologie un flux informaţional care va contribui la &icirc;mbunătăţirea și securizarea serviciilor bancare, dar şi la implementarea unor sisteme noi pe piaţa ban&shy;cară, care ar contribui la prevenirea riscurilor. Experienţa inter&shy;na&shy;ţio&shy;&shy;nală &icirc;n domeniu va oferi posibilitatea sistemului bancar din Re&shy;pub&shy;li&shy;ca Moldova să se dezvolte &icirc;n aşa fel ca activitatea acestuia să fie plă&shy;cu&shy;tă, &icirc;n primul r&acirc;nd, pentru client, deoarece clientul va avea &icirc;ncredere &icirc;n acea bancă care &icirc;i va oferi securitate la nivelul cel mai &icirc;nalt pentru el.</p></dc:description>
