Synthesis and structure of condensation product of dimethylglyoxime on gold matri

Summary:

Complex of gold of the composition [AuL(NO2)] (1), where HL is a new tridentate ligand obtained by the condensation of two dimethylglyoxime (H2DMG) molecules on the matrix of the gold ion, was synthesized and characterized by X-ray structural analysis. It was shown that in the system H[AuCl4] . 4Н2О H2DMG Py, depending on pH of the reaction medium and sequence of addition of components, the final products have unexpected compositions ([AuIII (DMG)ClPy], [AuCl2Py2][AuCl4] . 2[AuCl3Py] or [AuII L(NO2)]). Molecular complex 1 is sustained by the Au....Au…Au intermolecular nteractions.
